Three Favourite Things: Winter Edition
I have always wanted to do one of these blog posts, I tried filming it, but every time I did I always found I had camera issues, so here is a written version of what my mouth was going to say. They happen to be my favourite things to read or watch, mainly because I sometimes don't know I need a product until I see it, and I hope you get some inspiration from mine.
Because I could do one of these every month, I've decided to split them into three monthly blog posts so that you get more products out of it, because your girl is poor and I'm not a super extravagant person. While collating the list for this, I did find that the majority of what I spend my money on is either makeup or books, so whilst you may find it heavy on that side, I will sprinkle a few other things in as well. (Author Note: It has been so hard picking three favourites, but I managed it (bravo to me))
To be entirely transparent, I have used some affiliation links via Amazon's affiliation programme. It costs you no more to click through and use the links, but rather helps me gain a few pennies from your purchase to help run this blog. I will only ever recommend things via affiliate links I generally loved!!
Bershka textured knitted jumper in pink £17.99 ↳ I wanted a super fluffy jumper, saw this, nabbed it. It isn't as itchy as it appears but does come up a little short. I would say on me it comes between mid-hip to crop level, or maybe that's just my bust.
ASOS DESIGN headband with graduating pearls in gold-tone ON SALE ↳ This is a super cute headband I NEEDED to own. Overall, I have zero complaints, it does sometimes feel a bit tight, but I just move it around and it seems to do the trick.
Pieces midi smock dress in red spot print ↳ Sadly, this is now out of stock, but honestly, it's such a comfy, cute dress, if you see it come back, you won't be disappointed. It fits beautifully, and most of all you can dress it up and down. I'm wearing it a Hen Do and a Day meal for someone's birthday, so it suits all.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
↳ I rated this five stars:
Summary: Aging and reclusive Hollywood movie icon Evelyn Hugo is finally ready to tell the truth about her glamorous and scandalous life. But when she chooses unknown magazine reporter Monique Grant for the job, no one is more astounded than Monique herself. Why her? Why now? Monique is not exactly on top of the world. Her husband has left her, and her professional life is going nowhere. Regardless of why Evelyn has selected her to write her biography, Monique is determined to use this opportunity to jumpstart her career.
These Witches Don't Burn ↳ I rated this 5 star, and the sequel comes out in June! I did a blog post on this already here Summary: Hannah's a witch, but not the kind you're thinking of. She's the real deal, an Elemental with the power to control fire, earth, water, and air. But even though she lives in Salem, Massachusetts, her magic is a secret she has to keep to herself. If she's ever caught using it in front of a Reg (read: non-witch), she could lose it.
Hot Dog Girl ↳ I rated this 4 stars out of five Summary: Elouise (Lou) Parker is determined to have the absolute best, most impossibly epic summer of her life. There are just a few things standing in her way: She's landed a job at Magic Castle Playland . . . as a giant dancing hot dog. Her crush, the dreamy Diving Pirate Nick, already has a girlfriend, who is literally the Princess of the park. But Lou's never liked anyone, guy or otherwise, this much before, and now she wants a chance at her own happily ever after. Her best friend, Seeley, the carousel operator, who's always been up for anything, suddenly isn't when it comes to Lou's quest to set her up with the perfect girl or Lou's scheme to get close to Nick. And it turns out that this will be their last summer at Magic Castle Playland--ever--unless she can find a way to stop it from closing.

Fenty Beauty PRO FILT'R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation
↳ As a huge lover of a full coverage foundation, this did not disappoint. It covers my blemishes, spots and any lack of sleep I may be experiencing. Previously to this, I used Estee Lauder, MAC, and even NYX, but Fenty knocks them all out of the park. I find that if I apply my make-up at 7 am, it lasts until 6 pm without creasing, and without too much bubbling (I do not know the clinical words haha). I'm a huge fan of this and have been using solidly for six months now, and just topped up with a new bottle over Christmas.
Benefit Goof Proof Eyebrow Shaping Pencil and Gel
↳ I switched over to Benefit on a whim, and I now understand why so many people recommend it. I love thick brows, they are my favourite, and I wasn't sure if Benefit would be able to provide them, but they did. The gel, I use to thicken my lashes and style, and the pencil shaper is good at building up those parts where I don't seem to grow. It's pricey, and I will say it's worth it, but I still love...
NYX Precision Brow Pencil
↳ The 'OG' in my opinion, I've been using this for years, and I strayed to the dark side, and I'm not sure which side I prefer. Both this and the Benefit product do a fantastic job for me, so I did want to include them both-especially as Benefit can be pricey. If you like thick brows, neither of these will do you wrong.
I think I shout this a lot and these things I cannot really link because they're not online exclusives, but:
Yoga Membership ↳ If you have a local yoga/mindful/pilates centre or classes, I beg you to give them a go. Not only for the stretching, the hour for just you, but the mindful and relaxation benefits are next to none. I feel utterly changed by taking a membership out, and it has improved my mental health a lot.
Reflective Dog Harness
↳ What do you mean, Jo? Well, I didn't have reflections on my harness before, not that I noticed anyway. Now, my new one for Cheddar does and it brings me such peace of mind. It's good for when we let him off the lead, and it has given me a bit more confidence taking him out.
Bujo Book ↳ I gave in and purchased a real Bujo book, and it is incredible. I previously used notepads, which wasn't bad, not by a long shot, but there is something about a real Bujo book with it's squared paper and how thick the paper is. I've also bought some new pens for it, and sitting for an hour to plan a spread does seem to relax me a lot. If you love planning things out, I'd recommend having a look at Pinterest to see if a Bujo-life is for you, here is a link to my Pinterest Board, if you're interested.
